Welcome to the
Mental Health Advocacy Project

...services for you, influenced by you...

"we aim to provide mental health service users with the
opportunity to take control over their own lives
by helping them to exercise choice based on their needs
and wishes to have their views heard"

Do you sometimes find it hard to speak up for what you want and have your views heard?

Do you sometimes find it hard to understand your rights and know what choices you have?

The Mental Health Advocacy Project provides professional independent advocacy services for anyone who has or has had a mental health and / or addiction problems who lives in or is receiving treatment in West Lothian. The project also provides advocacy services to HMP Addiewell.

People may need Advocacy to help them speak to professionals such as Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Social workers etc: Advocacy can support people in meetings / appointments, with written communications or to help locate information or services.

If you feel you need someone to help you with a difficult situation then have a look through the rest of our website to see what services we offer and how we could help you.
